Beef Stroganoff (From the "old" Russian Tea Room)
This recipe is from the "old" Russian Tea Room Restaurant in NYC (before the original owner's daughter took it over.) Authentic in flavor and preparation (no short cuts) and was always served over RICE (not noodles) at the restaurant.

Beef or Veal alla Pizzaiola
This is a flavorful recipe for less tender cuts of beef or veal. I usually prepare this dish using beef chuck steak, beef round steak or veal chops. This can be cooked either on top of the stove or in the oven.

Vietnamese beef pho

Vietnamese Beef Pho
This soup is served with a plate full of fresh garnishes as well as various sauces. This allows each person to season their serving to taste. The soup is somewhat unusual, because the meat is cooked in the bowl. The beef is sliced very thin, almost thin enough to see through. You might want to have the butcher slice it for you. The boiling hot broth is poured over the noodles and raw meat. The meat is quickly cooked in the hot broth in the time it takes to garnish the soup. From allrecipes.com

Chicago Italian Beef You'll be sorry you didn't grow up in Chicago, and eat one of those wonderful beef sandwiches from Carm's. This tastes identical. This wonderful recipe came from my sister Linda knowing how homesick I am for Chicago food. Start cooking 18 hours before you want to eat. by Moonbugz_

Beef Casserole and Dumplings
Good for those cold winter nights. This is one of our favourite old time comfort food recipes adapted from a book "Classic Kiwi Recipes". It reminds me of the dishes my Grandmother and Mother made when I was young.

My dads beef stroganoff

My Dad's Beef Stroganoff
This is one of my dad's specialties, and I've always loved it. As with beef burgandy, a covered wok works very well for this. I know stroganoff is usually served over egg noodles, but I'm from Minnesota, and we always had it over wild rice. I included instructions on how to cook wild rice to mellow out the flavor; boiling and rinsing before cooking makes it taste much better.
