Bergy's Pork Tenderloin With Black Beans
This is a very versatile dish that you can have very spicy or not hot at all just adjust the spices. It is a meal in one wok. This is an entry in the ready, set cook contest of June 2002.

The best southern green beans

The Best Southern Green Beans These are FANTASTIC! This recipe was revised from an old family favorite! My southern roots come through on this one! Either way the beans end up melting in your mouth and the cooked bacon adds more flavor! REALLY tasty! Good for cookouts or to compliment any meal! by greyghost

Italian White Beans with Chicken
QUICK and EASY!! This recipe is from Betty Crocker's "Easy Casseroles and One Dish Meals". If you need a dinner FAST this is your meal. It is done in a flash, but with such exotic flavor, you'd think it took hours. Could easily be a vegetarian dish if you substitute mushrooms or tofu in place of the meat.

Boston baked beans

Boston Baked Beans
As with any other dish, there are varying schools of thought on Boston Baked Beans. There's your bacon vs. salt pork, your molasses vs. maple syrup, etc. This is my mother's recipe, which I ate all through my childhood, so to me this is how BBB should taste. Live dangerously -- make these once just the way the recipe says before you start fiddling with 'em.

Balsamic Green Beans
Bear with me on these, this is one of those recipes that I just throw together and don't really know the exact amount of ingredients I use. So I took a gander here, the best I can tell you is keep tasting and add more of this or that until you get the taste you like. Once you do I promise these will be a BIG hit, they are DELICIOUS! I have made them both cold and warm--I prefer them cold. Enjoy.

Suicide Beans
A friend I used to work with gave me this - they're more flavorful than typical baked beans. If you get baked beans without pork and omit the bacon, it makes a great vegetarian dish. I'm guessing on the servings, but this will almost fill the average crockpot.

Old Time Baked Beans
These are the beans my French-Canadian mother used to make. She never measured anything making these so I've estimated the amounts. These taste great with fresh bread. A good dish to keep in mind for pot-lucks. You can add pork or weiners to it if you like. Bacon strips on top work well.

Creole Red Beans and Rice
This is a great Creole dish, and this is a good recipe. I usually have a bowl or two when we go to Louisiana. Very filling, and pocketbook friendly. Make sure you have a Louisiana hot sauce on the table so each one can "heat" it up.
NOTE: There is a difference between Kidney Beans and Red Beans. The smaller red beans are similar to black beans, in that they never get truly soft. I recommend using Kidney Beans in this recipe.
