Yummy crunchy caramel apple pie
Posted on July 12th, 2010
Yummy Crunchy Caramel Apple Pie My Grandmother gave me this recipe after she made it for me during a visit about 5 years ago. I like to use Granny Smith apples, leave the peel on, and cut slices that are a little thick, but do whatever you wish! This is a very good pie and I'm always asked to make it! Thanks, Grandma!! Dried Apple Pie
Another easy to make recipe (my favorite kind). I love good recipe, but I like them to be easy. Prep time includes standing time for apples and juice. All else can be mixed while waiting on the apples to stand in the juice.

Portable Apple & Cheese Pleasers
Most unusual cookies, but very tasty. My SIL made this the first time about 25 years ago, the whole family loves it. Especially because of how little sugar is in it. I think that she got it from the Quaker Oats company back then.

Apple Torte
This is an adaptation of a recipe from a book called (I think) 'More Recipes from the Backs of Cans, Boxes and Jars'. It tastes like a cross between cheesecake and apple pie!

Apple Pie in a Bottle
Here's a drink that's great to take on camping trips with good friends, perfect for sharing around the campfire. This is my own recipe that we take to SCA camping events in the Pacific Northwest (other folks have their "secret" recipes they don't share). You know you have good Apple Pie when you take a sip and you can even taste the crust. :) You don't want to miss out on this one!

Spinach, apple and pecan salad
Posted on July 10th, 2010
Spinach, Apple and Pecan Salad Spinach, apples, red onion & pecans in a sweet-tart dressing. To make this salad extra special, I like to glaze the pecans by stirring them with 1 tablespoon sugar in a medium non-stick frying pan over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar melts. Pour them out on waxed paper and separate with your spoon while still warm. If you do this, you don't need to toast the pecans. It takes about 5 minutes or so for the sugar to melt. by Sharlene~W
